Grappling Hook Bug in Egypt Level
Hi guys!
I've been replaying Anniversary and I am so stuck at this stupid bug. It's the level with the cat statue. You climb up to a platform and are supposed to get the grappling hook to grab this door on the opposite side of the room and pull it open to then swing over there. Unfortunately the hook doesn't grab the shiny part up top, instead it grabs the middle of the door and doesn't open it when pulled. Here's a screenshot: https://i.postimg.cc/zfgSk0W4/TRA-bug.jpg Does anybody have an idea how to fix it? I would really appreciate it! |

have you tried manually aiming and then using the grapple?
do you have vsync enabled? Last edited by LateRaider; 24-05-22 at 09:25. |

It was the VSync! Thank you so much for the tip!
Also, for anyone in the future reading this who might have the same problem: It took me a while to find the VSync, it's not in the in-game options! I found it by starting the game from my Steam client and chosing to option to open configuration instead of playing the game. That's how I pulled up the extended options menu for the game and where the VSync was hiding. |

you're welcome.
so while we're here, i want to let you know that LAU was designed around the fact that you have to have vsync on. in legend there aren't many issues (cloth/hair physics will be wonky, but otherwise the game is fine) but anniversary and underworld's puzzle physics break, especially underworld's. keep that in mind, and it might actually be a good idea to also make profiles for TR:L and TR:A in your graphics card control panel that force vsync to be always on. happy raiding! |
