Just made an account to say thanks for this project! Makes replaying TR1 so easy with hopefully soon visual parity with the PS1 version. The publishers may ignore these classics but luckily the community doesn't!

Can you add the original psx loading screens?

In TR2, with Arsunts Patch, the original psx loading screens are present again like PSX Version.

Question

Amazing job, guys!

I have two questions:

- Can the game be set to always run in windowed mode?
- Or, if that's not possible, how can I set a permanent resolution of the window after pressing alt+enter? (currently it always defaults to 1280x720)

We are tracking loading screens as something people want. But, there's a weird grey area of redistributing potentially copyrighted material though. So TBD on this.

Release 2.9 is out! Including full controll support (currently limited to the PS1 control scheme) https://github.com/rr-/Tomb1Main/releases

I made a short video showcasing the major updates:

  • added generic SDL-based controller support
  • added the ability to make freshly triggered (runaway) Pierre replace an already existing (runaway) Pierre
  • added a fade out when completing Lara's Home
  • added the config option to change the number of save slots
  • changed default save slot count to 25
  • fixed Tihocan chain block sound
  • fixed passport menu with high UI scaling (regression from 2.7)
  • fixed passport menu border being off by one pixel
  • fixed the new game and save game passport options using the wrong closing animation (regression from 2.7)
  • fixed bridges at floor level appearing under the floor (OG bug)
  • fixed Lara's outfit in Lara's Home when replaying the level (regression from 2.7)
  • fixed crash when dying in the gym level with no saves (regression from 2.8)
  • fixed exiting select level menu causing deaths in a new game incremented in that slot ( regression from 2.8)
  • removed DInput-based XBox controller support

Hey! I've tried this patch and it looks and works amazing! I was wondering if there was a way for me to play with this patch on but Steam still recognizing it as TR1 so my playtime hours actually reflect how much I play this game
Edit: I managed to get this working myself Here's a tutorial for anyone interested.
1: Download a clean copy of TR1 from Steam
2: Apply TR1 Automated Fix (https://github.com/Carlmundo/TombRai...es/tag/release)
3: Apply the Tomb1Main patch
4: Delete the tombati.exe file (I recommend making a backup copy just in case)
5: Rename Tomb1Main.exe to tombati.exe
6: That's it! Execute the game from Steam, click on the Tomb Raider logo and it should work just fine
Note: I haven't tried this in Unfinished Business yet!

Congrats on the new release!

I hope we get custom mapping soon, or a choice between the current and previous mapping. Switching jump and action is really jarring.

Default 2.9 glitch

I found an issue in 2.9
The Tomb of Tihocan, the centurian creature that hatches just before the final battle with Pierre. When that creature hatches Lara vanishes and the textures go all wild.
I put the 2.8 Tomb1main exe back and the issue goes away.

I just made an account on here this morning, i don't have Github account to report this.
I am using the old static braid modded levels, maybe that's caused this.

Anyway otherwise this project is fantastic!! Almost 27 years ago i first played Tomb Raider, Its never looked better!

Keep up the awsome work!!! Cant wait for TR3Main
