Looks like the backpack on her back? Or is that an early bow pouch? Looked cool anyway |

I remeber it from the early screenshots back in 2011 and I think it was for the bow . |

A lot of this stuff looks like placeholder texts. I doubt that they had a working night and day cycle system. Or maybe one day would've been one chapter and that got later replaced with the % number. Nice find nonetheless. |

This is awesome, thanks! It's interesting to learn about early versions or just concepts for this game. The style and the basic idea of it really grew on me, so I appreciate stuff like this. (I wish I could like the actual game too but... I have so many problems with it. ^^' )
Now I understand why this weird image is among the game's textures. Yeah, I guess. Now it's only on the multiplayer model. |

Interesting find!
however, the picture with Lara and the map, it's just something mashed up with photoshop... The map in the background is the same, as the next picture, the map front of Lara is clearly does not belong there, also Lara is in combat crouch just after the burning village (I played that part too many times...) The idea is really cool tho! I wonder why they scrapped it... I'd like to point out on the main menu screens two things: the grey line, which supposed to track the multiplayer progrees, on the very bottom would be displayed the documents you've found. I think this is, really interesting. Not to mention, the mission brief: return the BACKPACK to Roth. I wonder if it's just a concept, or there was a fetch quest at some point, that involved the backpak. (early version of the wolf den maybe?) I hope we will learn more about this game's early stages... |

They could've just let the game go on while looking at the map. That way, if you look at the map in the middle of a fight, you'll just get mowed down by enemies. People might've done that once and then learned not to look at the map in the middle of combat. It's how The Last of Us' inventory works, too. You can take off your backpack and look at the inventory whenever you want but it's a bad idea to do it in a gun fight because you'll be defenseless while doing it.

I could sit and read for hours about all of the things that were considered for the game, how they might have worked, and what eventually was released in comparison.
GREAT FIND GRiannis Raider! |
