Try reloading the game from scratch, and see if its solved. If the problem persists, just do not use the flares, I know that's difficult in the dark areas. I managed to get the flares working ok, but its typical TR4 next gen game with lots of plug ins, and can be unstable in some places and cause all sorts of crash problems. I have had quite a few crashes already for no apparent reason and I have only just reached Venice, so I am saving many times, so I can backtrack if the game crashes

It worked with me when I chose the Direct 3D Hardware instead of the sofware

Once you get this conversion mod game all up and working correct, it is a treat to play TR2 in TR4 format. Its amazing how many areas I had forgot about. This area for instance with the big bowl of boiling oil that tips and burns through the ice. Mind you its years since I played TR2 right through

Currently working on and off on getting on the TR2 Gold levels sorted before moving on to TR3. Anyone who's had experience with TR2Prj in the level editor scene will know what I'm in for. So many triangles to correct.
