Custom patch set updated again, now there is a bugfix for annoying flare green tint on ignition and depletion. Note that I just simplified a function, so you won't get light bursts anymore, only flicker.

Also I had a look at weird binoculars bug, but it seems that TRNG had no interceptions at binoculars procedure, so my guess is this bug was produced by some other feature, maybe the one that enables Lara in title screen: binoculars mode and title flyby mode may share some "Lara visibility" flag, and when TRNG forces this flag to "true", it also affects binoculars mode, not only title flyby. Just a guess.

Yeah It might seem ridiculous but the widescreen patch was my favourite of all TREP patches. Nothing was more annoying than playing TRLE levels with a stretched Lara on my widescreen!!!!

I've been asking around about getting this widescreen patch implemented into the original TR4 engine so we can play the original TR4 cutscenes and all, in widescreen and it will hopefully be looked into

We have a widescreen patcher for TR2/3/4 and TRLE levels.

TR2/3/4 Widescreen Patch

Just put it in the folder with the executable and run it.

It uses the method of cutting off the top and bottom to achieve 16:9, but at least Lara isn't stretched anymore.

How on earth have i NEVER seen or heard of this! I've been pushing widescreen compatability for the classics for YEARS ahaha wow! I will definately give it a shot when I get home!

Just had a look on the net for a trace of this and can't find it at all! Where did you discover this?

I'm just so suprised its not advertised. There's so many links in tech-support to threads regarding Widescreen in the classics with a dead-end.. I'll still try it when i get home, pretty excited to see if it works!

Oh my god it works! aha TR3 and TR4 in widescreen finally! Yet to see if it makes a difference in cut scenes but either way, wow! Kudos to whoever made this patch, it should really be put on TRC.com. Ahh so happy!

I have a question to TRNG specialists about TRNG's binoculars bug. Is there any commands, flipeffects, variables, etc. in TRNG, which change binoculars behaviour? I'm asking because I want to add workaround to remove this bug, but I'm not sure if TRNG will intercept it or not. So, are there any binocular customization variables, particularly with a value 2080 set by default?

By the way, I was right. There is a TRNG interception at "Draw Lara" procedure, which purpose is to show her at title screen (and maybe something else, because code is too cryptical), but Paolone forgot to add binocular attribute check in his injected code.
