To be fair, if you don't need a 4K picture or 5.1 surround sound, you don't need the subscription to play games you buy. And if you do get the subscription, you also get free games à la PS+. I still don't think it's a particularly great deal but your description of it seems a bit incomplete/misleading.

PS5 and Xbox (Scarlett?) are right around the corner. I wonder who cares about this.

I imagine that there will be some who want to be one of the first in on any new thing. There always has to be the ice-breakers. Streaming is the wave of the future. Even Sony was moved to make an agreement with MS.

Hmmm...

I'll definitely wait for reviews, public opinion and when you stop needing a specific Chromecast to have Stadia.

I probably won't get the subscription, but as long as the input lag is not too big, I actually don't mind the streaming aspect. If it works, it can actually be a great thing. But it's still feels too effy to say that I will definitely invest on Stadia.

Yes BUT it’s still in its infancy for now

Just the other day I was thinking how it's weird (or even sad maybe) how we almost completely moved to digital with tv shows and movies and music and I don't like this idea at all, games through a streaming service, depending on the internet connection AT ALL TIMES. Not really owning your copy of the game to access it and play whenever you want.

If I could be able to buy a game and keep it in my STADIA account and maybe pay for some entry level subscription that only allows me to use STADIA hardware and servers to run it I would be a bit more interested but even than I would still not be free to play MY game whenever I want bc of internet access.

You can do that. Not every game will be available in the subscription. They have said that you will need to buy newer games.
