Let's see how well does Final Fantasy VII remake because it's an episodic format.

I wouldn't be against but it's a complicate situation, sales can become stale if the first episode doesn't have grab the interest of a general audience.

Totally agree with that. I'm totally up for a game with different adventure and story arc as it's an easy way to travel and build up Tomb Raider's world in a single game but I don't want to wait for episodic content.

They could write the story like a TV show with a game being a whole season of 4-6 episodes that are not totally connected but that can create the foundation of a bigger story line for a bigger "adventure".
That way we can have a game that is not as "serious" as the Survivor era with "funnier" and simpler adventures and Lara's going for sports and not to save the whole world.
The manor would serve as a main HUB and the game could take place on a year. The adventures would have different length and "styles" (more action, more story telling ect.) like a 1-2h level but very story driven followed by a slower adventure that take place in a more open space focused on exploration.

This could also finally put an end to the all "trilogy" idea that they do since Legend, I'm tired of that. The games won't be linked to each other like the old ones.

Having sections of he game released from time to time, by the time all sections are released, the hype for the game would die down. I can only see it work, if they are released weekly, by they would have to be developed simultaneously and finished at the same time for that to work.

Yep. I tend to lose interest in episodic games halfway through the "season" because they take too damn long to come out and the quality starts dipping.

My thoughts exactly. If they should steal something from Hitman, it's only the DUAL GUNS mechanic, everything else, leave it to Hitman.

This 100%! I think episodic releases are a terrible idea.

I hate episodic games, and I'm never inclined to buy them. It's such a bad idea.

(Shadow's dlc kind of falls into that 'genre' with it being so little content stretched out for several months. It's not quite the same, but still.)

It could have work for Chronicles if it was considered as an extension pack after TR4. Like some episodes to wait until AOD.
