The difference is that GTA Trilogy has a PS2 engine, which allows considerable changes, but it looked like a 'clay game' with horrible graphics.

The remasters are from a PS1 Engine, so it's more plausible that not everything is 'perfect'.

Well, TR has always been a big phenomenon in the Italian peninsula.

At this point we could even create an Italian sub-section of TRF.

Stop demotivating well-meant feedback.

It has already been clarifed that the engine of the remasters is not exactly or merely the old engine, but the latter grafted onto a completely new engine.

Nobody is demotivating anyone? That's my point of view on what I've been seeing everyday in the forum. If that alone demotivates people on giving feedback, maybe that's actually proof that the given feedback isn't so important

The base will still be the old engine. In the same way that GTA, too, used another engine cast with the old engine.

PS2 base engine gives more possibilities than the PS1 base, that's undeniable

You’re right,
At this point the “feedback” should be toward bugs/glitches that aren’t supposed to be there.

The thing is, I don’t really understand why some basic features are still missing.
Like graphics settings.
One of reasons to include the old graphics is to allow the players to experience the games exactly the way they were when they came out (hence the 30 fps limit in classic mode). Then why didn’t they include the option to select bilinear filtering? It was available in the originals and could be added easily. Yet it wasn’t implemented in the last patch. it’s also possible that the developers intentionally don’t want to add it but I just can’t see why.

Then there’s the frame-pacing thing which I still need to understand if it’s an actual issue or not. I loaded up the originals and the framerate didn’t look much different from the remastered. Perhaps the stutters are only noticeable because of the switch from 60 to 30 FPS? It would be useful to hear the opinion of a developer about this

That one was just lazy.

The new skyboxes for the manor that came with Patch 4 aren't perfect. They do look more mountainous than they should for an English countryside, but they are still closer to the original graphics than what we had before.
I agree that it is now closer to the original and feels more realistic, although it is somewhat exaggerated. If only it had a higher resolution! They could have added a garden without altering the overall feel since the cartoonish artistic style matched the environment they designed with artificial intelligence. However, they completely changed the sky box, which seems strange and random, especially considering that the first version was the main topic of discussion.

I would like they fix the weapons/flare shortcuts on controller.
Lara stops running, it's annoying.

As for the frame-pacing thing, I don’t see an issue.
I’ve played like 2 play throughs each using the classic graphics and they’re basically a much more stable, Higher definition version of the PS1 with No load times…

Oh btw. I noticed while playing tomb raider 1 that Lara’s “NO” (when you use the wrong key on a switch) was also dubbed in Italian and German while in the original it was always in English (only the cutscenes were dubbed).
For the Italian dub I guess they must’ve used AI since it was never dubbed before
