Orange is the new Black Season 2

I liked it way more than the first season. It gets better. The ending was really unexpected!

The movie was intriguing. Tilda Swinton is a fantastic actress and never disappoints.

Hell yeah! Season 2 was peak OITNB. It had the perfect mix of comedy and serious elements. Such good writing and character backstories, too. Season 3 is where people get split. I love it because of the backstories alone, but the overall season had very little direction.

As for my latest movie watched, I showed my youngest brothers the 2017 version of Stephen King's IT last night. What else are big brothers for?

Sadly, the last season seems hell bent on crucifying all of it's characters. I'm hoping things are chirpier when it finishes, but I'm not counting on it.

I stopped watching OITNB in the middle of season 5. It lost its charm. I can appreciate the politics to an extent, but the show wasn't fun to watch anymore. I'm sure I'll binge watch it someday just to say I finished it (just like I did with Jenji's other show, Weeds).

To be fair, some characters do get a genuinely happy ending, some not so much but at least they still get some ending to their arcs. Most characters, however, basically don't get an ending at all,and it's all because 'yeah well prison sucks ukno'. You'd think a 90min finale would make enough room for everyone, but it's too preoccupied with redundant scenes adding absolutely nothing beyond more fuel to the misery porn nature of it all.

One character had a bleak ending and it kind of loomed over the rest of the finale. Though there's other good stuff.

Well, I finally finished the final season of OITNB. After finishing it I'm honestly just left with the impression they only got the memo it was the final season way into filming, as they try to wrap everything up in the last ten minutes. Was it the worst finale? No, that title belongs to Dexter. Could it of been much better. Hell yeah!
