I really wouldn't have minded if Daisy got the role. But honestly, Alicia Vikander is in a way different league than her.

Daisy sort of resembles Lara's 2013 model when the game first launched.

True, but Alicia does also fairly similar to reboot Lara, especially in RotTR. I remember someone here doing a RotTR face mod making Lara look more like Alicia, and they showed here how surprisingly similar Lara's face in that game is to Alicia's structurally.

Plus she has that classic tan and, for me, is a much better actress. Though I do thing Daisy would do a good job as well.

Seeing as we are discussing possible future routes the franchise could take I'd really love to see them expand the universe with future CGI films seperate to the current film universe. Maybe even a TV series. It works so well for Resident Evil and Final Fantasy.

Possibilities are endless they have the oppurtunity to go the Lara Croft route or the reboot universe route or both if they really wanted.

What do you mean by expand the universe? Because if you mean movies/TV series about other characters to expand the Tomb Raider franchise I really think it wouldn't work, TR must be about Lara.

I mean with Lara at the helm with different continuities, to most people it's a wild idea but it has worked for some franchises. DC at the moment are expanding after their universe didn't take off too well but moving forward it's showing more promise. It's not uncommon for comic books to have multiple universes so why not Tomb Raider?

We had the classic Lara in the "Lara Croft" universe so a bunch of CGI movies in that timeline could be fun.

I'd love to see a cgi tomb raider film. Its be amazing. Id say realistic style but a bit cartoony, maybe like the TRAnniversary CGI trailer.

Ever since I saw the gorgeous TR4 FMVs, I've always wanted a CGI TR film.
The CGI Resident Evil films > The live actions ones.
