Isn’t the grapple a mechanic to master? Just like every control in the original needed to be mastered. Isn’t that what you guys love?

Unfortunately. And it probably diminishes the chances of having a Tomb raider 1 remake and kills the hype over possible remakes of other classics since their style/idea of remake is to cut content and release.
