Unpopular Opinion:
Crystal Dynamics is the best studio to handle Tomb Raider.

I agree.
The issue, to me, isn't SE as a publisher. It's the marketing team (and IDK if they're in charge of SE, or CD, or outsourced, or whatever)

Also agree. CD along with EM, as they've collaborated on all three games

While I don’t agree on some things CD did, I actually quite like them. They have crafted some of my fav games of the franchise (Anniversary, Legend, TR2013, Rise), and I feel like they’re Guardians of the Tomb Raider franchise... I couldn’t (and can’t) trust any other studio, even Naughty Dog about TR......

I’d fight you on this one, but this is an online forum and an unpopular opinions thread so...

I won’t delve into all my reasons against them, but I’ll give them this much, they polish their games really REALLY good. They always seem so smooth from what I’ve seen and played. Except in the case of Underworld ofc.

I like Crystal Dynamics... only when they tried to do Tomb Raider games and not avoided it. Their only big mistake has been TR 2013, that's my personal controversial opinion.

The Overworld from LCTOO is the best hub of the franchise.
I'm not against skill trees at all, if done right it's fun.

I don't know what studio would be good for Tomb Raider tbh.
