I for one have nothing against Paititi nor the idea behind it as a hub and all the lore it entails. Itís majestic in size but humble in nature, the folklore and the mythology that the inhabitants and the surroundings convey is honestly unmatched in any of the previous attempts throughout the trilogy and I really appreciated the effort, time and love that went into developing the area.

Itís diverse enough thanks to its districts and has enough side locations that bring exploration on different degrees, heights and directions. I had to look left, right, above and below to explore every inch possible, but the whole system is pretty broken in my opinion and needs serious reworking in terms of how item hunting is approached, but thatís an entirely different discussion.

Ultimately, as a technological feat, Paititi is outstanding (to the point of implementing a feature that even its designers are having a hard time trying to remove), but it creates a self-contained space that pushes the rest of the hubs away and demands a lot of patience to be fully enjoyed. It just gets lost in its ambition and prevents itself from being beneficial.

I liked the Peruvian Jungle and Cenote. I just prefer the jungle sections, or those sections where you are alone exploring.

Oh yes. I also really like where we explore alone. The most in the Peruvian jungle. And welcome to the forum

Hey thank you for your warm welcome yes I am new here. I like Rise and Shadow of the Tomb Raider and I like the exploration parts very much. I also played a few of the older games too. I am here because I saw the photo thread so I wanted to post a few pictures. Apparently I will need some specific URLs to do that, so yeah, I will do that later. Meanwhile I will look at other threads, like this one

After a replay, San Juan is definitely my favorite level. Love the look of the village and the atmosphere.

Via Crucis puzzle of the hidden crypt is my favorite part of the game. Which is a bit weird since it is devoid of the core Mesoamerican look and feel of the game. It's one of the rare riddles in the reboot trilogy.

Rampage in the Porvenir Oil Fields was also very fun.

Everything in Cenote screams "The descent" at me.
First the harmless looking vista at start and then it gets grim as you progress further.
The developers really seemed to like that movie, because in the 2013 installment there were many references about it as well.
That said, its the kind of setting i like for a Tomb Raider Game. Dark and gritty and completly on your own.

City of the Serpent. Not only because itís the last level of this tiring game, but because itís the most grand ending section of the Rebootsí endings. It ends Laraís origins arc (even if not that much satisfying) and I like the atmosphere. I love the cutscene where the Crimson Fire gives Lara Ix Chelís mask. Itís a strong scene, one that stands out in the trilogy. Then thereís the final cutscene where the Crimson Fire ďguidesĒ Lara to the altar. I love how the Crimson Fire points to the altar and Lara understands it without any communication. Omg, enough praising Shadow...
