That's less encouraging. I feel like I'd mess this up really badly. I'll send you my Discord though and maybe I can be walked through the process but I'm pretty much a dumbass at this kind of thing. It took me over a day to figure out how to edit text in Java :\

Sasho has shown me how to improve the basic walking/running speed with the stock PC tank controls!
I haven't extensively tested it but it seems to work very well. It's equivalent to the speed in his patch. You can find it offered in the opening post as well as here. I want to talk to Sasho about enabling some moves while on stairs and maybe backward gallop if he has time. Anything else I ask him about will wait until after and may not be a part of Tank Plus.

Of course, we need to get the essentials taken care of first.
![]() But to make that tweak work intuitively, we'd really need to see if moving backward could be changed to the gallop like you've said so it would effectively work the same way. And the biggest thing would be making sure that swapping targets still works properly. But at least we know how to disable it at all thanks to Nakamichi.

The most effective way I could think of doing that is separating Switch Targets from Roll, putting it on Stealth, and making it so you can't go into Stealth mode with a weapon out. But that seems so complicated.
Edit - Reborninshadow actually just told me Kurtis has Sprint Mode available, so I want to ask Sasho if we can add that. But that'll be it for Tank Plus. 1. Movement speeds of Walk Mode and Run Mode are equivalent to those of sasho648's TR:AoD Recovery Patch v6.6.3. - DONE! (Credit: sasho648) 2. Walk-to-run transition for Run Mode is removed. - DONE! (Credit - Reborninshadow) 3. Player characters no longer swerve while executing Hop. - DONE! (Credit - nakamichi680) 4. Kurtis is permitted to execute Sprint Mode. 5. The actions for Roll, Side-step, Stealth Mode, and Sprint Mode are permitted while player character is on stairs. 6. When pressing Down Cursor Key or equivalent function, player characters gallop backward as if locked onto a target during Combat Mode. They would still walk backward in in Walk Mode while the Walk Key is held down. The sixth point will likely be the most difficult to implement, and therefore it may not make it into the final release. Last edited by LateRaider; 11-08-21 at 06:54. |
