This is incredible! Thank you so much for all of your hard work.

I have noticed there's a minor inconsistency with Lara's hands in the Russia outfit - they're meant to be full gloves, as far as I can tell (which is inconsistent with the FMV, but whatever ), but the mesh reverts to the fingerless glove texture whenever Lara's holding a weapon, or the crowbar. Is this possible to fix as well?

Fantastic work! Those skies look a thousand times better.

Although I have noticed "Close the doors quickly!" is still missing, along with the fast falling lift effect when you hit the brakes

For all the texture issues, they will hopefully be fixed, we just still have to think of a way that
1- doesn't require editing the level files
2- is easy to implement/use

But they are 100% planned

Hasn't been looked into yet, unfortunately. There are other issues with higher priority at the moment that are being worked on

Thank you for your suggestion! although unfortunately I don't see this being implemented for a while. Will definitely keep it in mind though

A new release has been posted with a few bug fixes and additions!

download here!

If you have previously used tomb5, you only need the new dll. if you have not, you can get the package with both the exe and the dll
Note: the exe rarely ever changes, if it does, it will be noted

original bug fixes
  • Fix object lighting between flipmaps

tomb5 bug fixes
  • Correct sun rotation and intensity
  • Fix sequence switches collision
  • Correct 13th floor lasers
  • Fix sky to be more PSX-like
  • More tweaks to footprints, fixes flickering of footprints at some camera angles

tomb5 additions
  • Add shadows for all objects (yep, they were missing)
  • Change hair drawing to use floats
  • Go directly to load menu after death

As always, feedback, bug reports and suggestions are all welcome! All feedback, bug reports, and feature suggestions help give everyone a bug free and enjoyable experience

Hey Troye, just thought I'd mention I added a link to the project to PCGamingWiki so even more people can find it.

Been doing this a lot with the projects in the AOD section recently and wanted to make sure this gets even more exposure. (Also, hope you don't mind me using your description haha!)

Congratulations on achieving such an amazing project. TRC was long overdue for some serious fixing and it's great to see how far you've all gotten. Thank you to everyone who allowed this project to happen. Fantastic work!

I have a question about something but Iím sure itís not possible, otherwise it would have been done already, but do any of you working on this know if Laraís dynamic shadow from TLR Dreamcast version could be put into this Chronicles patch?
