Default TRLE - Please! Need Help - Basic Info

I wasn't sure where to ask, which section, so move this thread, or close it later.

So, in short, what do i need if i want to make TR 1-3 levels, in level editor, without super duper extra stuff, just regular objects, and mechanics from first 3 classic Tomb Raiders?

Can i build TR1, 2, 3 engine based levels using regular Core Design Level Editor?

I only tried TRLE twice in 2003-4 and in 2007. And i failed then.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Nope, the classic editor just let you to do TR4 levels. You can use dxtre3d or the new update of Tomb Editor (The best option imo) even tho i think it isn't complete yet.

You can build levels in the TR1,2, or 3 style using the Level Editor (in the TR4 engine)
If you import a TR2 style outfit into a wad, and TR2 style objects.

With the next gen level editor building in TRNG, (or tomb editor) you can even have classic pushblocks Lara can climb on.

Alternately, you could use Dxtre3d to build in the old game engines.

https://www.trsearch.org/ has a lot of wads and objects for downloads.
https://www.aspidetr.com has resources as well.

Also, the tutorial section on this site has a lot of info about useful programs to use with the level editor.
