@ DragonSlayer: Yep, there are Admirals and Captains that go overboard with judgments and dishing out punishment. The whole abuse of power thing.

https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Leyton https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Erik_Pressman Leighton was power hungry and planned a coup to overthrow the president of Earth and seize power in doing so he would have become a 24th century Hitler minus the concentration camps and executions, he would hold the everyone on the planet prisoner without actually imprisoning them letting them maintain the illusion that they were free when they weren't. The Starfleet officers armed with weapons patrolling every city on Earth would be a sign of Admiral Leighton's controlling everything. As for Pressman the illegal development of a Federation cloaking device on the Pegasus, I wouldn't be surprised if both Leighton and Pressman were involved with Section 31. https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Section_31 I wouldn't be surprised if Captain Jellico who I never liked turned out to be just like Admiral Leighton. https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Edward_Jellico How Jellico managed to make Admiral is a mystery, knowing him he most likely bribed someone IMO he would never have been promoted on merit alone. The only Admirals that are better than the aforementioned Admirals are Admiral Adama, Admiral Janeway, Admiral Kirk and Admiral Picard https://galactica.fandom.com/wiki/William_Adama https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Kathryn_Janeway https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Jean-Luc_Picard https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/James_T._Kirk Those 4 Admirals are IMO incorruptible. Nearly forgot Admiral Cain she and Admiral Leighton would have got along great with each other. https://galactica.fandom.com/wiki/Helena_Cain |

How I like to think how first contact with aliens would have happened in STD that's if they bothered to make first contact with anyone which they probably didn't l.
https://youtu.be/27d6xc42bo4?si=HS7n74YdiarGG9Jd I like how she beamed down to the cheesestring planet, I'd have requested an immediate emergency beamout rather than talk to people who think cheese is a great outfit. Real Star Trek fans when STD was announced same goes for the JJ movies https://youtu.be/U64eGakMvQA?si=IyQx7IKeera5RTmM |

3 reasons why Star Trek fans accept Sybok over Michael Burnham
https://redshirtsalwaysdie.com/posts...m-01j8g3hn0yyp Sybok isn't annoying. Michael Burnham is annoying, unlikeable, has no personality unless you count the personality of a wall then she might have a personality, has no redeeming qualities, could do with lightening up a little and is someone you wouldn't want to get to know. If I was Burnham's captain I'd banish her to the lowest deck possible and assign her to sanitation, give her a literally 💩 job. 5 reasons why fans never fully embraced STD https://redshirtsalwaysdie.com/2023/...rek-discovery/ Let's start with it's boring, it sucks and always will, it takes itself far too seriously and the cast wouldn't know what fun is even if they assimilated an amusement park, the ship having advanced technology that Kirk's Enterprise never had despite being set 10 years before The Original Series technology like forcefields, hologram communication technology and the meh spore drive, the design of the Discovery itself it's clearly nothing more than a pizza cutter. Then there's the Klingons and the way they talk so very slowly for what felt like several years and the design of their ships. 7 plot changes that doomed STD before it started https://redshirtsalwaysdie.com/posts...d-01hv1v99j2x6 With the exception of Ensign Tilly the rest of the STD characters are dull, boring and forgettable, Ensign Tilly should immediately transfer over to Lower Decks or anywhere else. Assimilation would be preferable to being on the ship of the damned. Burnham being Spock's sister annoyed a lot of Star Trek fans because she was shoe horned into the show . The only thing missing is the incest story between Discovery's Spock and Burnham i mentioned in a previous post, she'd walk into the room see that Spock is in the early stages of Pon F a r r and decide to help him out again, cut to black and the Eastenders drum sound starts https://youtu.be/BDOg-Aqyidc?si=SnZEBWo6tQU6GF3n In the next episode for the full hour it'll be nothing but Burnham helping Spock with his Pon F a a r and all the necessary equipment needed, it'll be something like this https://youtu.be/sAwwDhNJJO0?si=FlTW5ayo-fwHlhYg https://youtu.be/UwizgQLvaCE?si=wnHfaYhHihJAYHf1 https://youtu.be/5ogVT5mpg6c?si=cp576HnyPyltxBLx I call it 50 shades of Vulcan, I hope Burnham didn't forget the Spock plugs just in case Spock needs a jump start halfway through should she tire him out. STD has the dumbest characters in Star Trek when that crew member lowered the forcefield and was quickly battered to death, what did she think would happen when she let it out that it would want a cup of tea and some biscuits, that creature killed the entire crew of another ship. Clearly Starfleet in STD doesn't require it's officers to be intelligent. Oh for crying out loud the auto censor strikes again apparently it doesn't like f a r r when there are no spaces between the letters. Last edited by DragonSlayer; 01-10-24 at 10:49. |

@ DragonSlayer: I can say that I can't blame you for the heat that you give to STD.
Sybok is absolutely a better choice for Spocks sibling. His story is kinda like the Romulans. He embrace his passions not unlike the Romulans did before they left Vulcan. Sybok was banished though. I kinda felt bad for the character. |

deadmando9 have you seen this?
https://youtu.be/bl5TUw7sUBs?si=Sjiac2X4DqCAPfiu There is a 1 hour version, will you last the entire hour? https://youtu.be/nFJ0ee5NURo?si=J1kuqMNk9ABkDTlT I wouldn't say no to a 10 hour version a few years ago there were 10 hour versions of both these videos https://youtu.be/addrYZ6g_Ss?si=2pJUYW81u6y5EhN9 https://youtu.be/o_NL8b0dN2M?si=L5T7oohs-lByoox9 I lasted 10 minutes on the Ralph Wiggum video and I think 15 minutes on the Mrs Doubtfire video. |

He reminds me a bit of Jeffrey Combs who played Weyun and Commander Shran.

Shran is my favourite character played by Jeffrey Combs, Weyoun was annoying so was that Ferengi Brunt that he played on DS9. |
