The Core games never lasted as long as this damn survivor trilogy with daddy issues galore. Then again it's not just the survivor era, the LAU era was obsessed with her parents too.

I truly believe that CD has zero clue what to do with TR. They originally wanted to continue the AOD, but Toby came in and wanted to follow the Angie movies. They've been stuck with daddy issues every since.

What about Werners issues in Core's trilogy wich spawn in the comics as well with Werner's Daughter and Son ?

I don't think Toby wanted to follow the AJ movies... find me the quote where he said that.

On the plus side, Hayley sounds just as good as I expected. If THIS was the game after 2013, and Lara had her dual pistols, I would have be more on board. I even thought the show off joke between the pair was cute... and I DESPISE Jonah. It really helps when Lara sounds like Lara.

Lara wasn't obsessed with following Von Croy she was his rival. completely different.

Also the comics were not focused on Von Croy.

Some of them are Epifany, then Inner Demons are focussing on her traumas including Von Croy because we had a re telling of AOD.

Yeah and she didn't checked his notes for the whole AOD game, and she didn't wanted to know who was his murderer and he's certainly not connected to her past when he wasn't his rival (I mean in Cambodia he was but in a playfull way).

It's fine if some fans like the family stuff and the constant connections to Richard or are unbothered by it but c'mon can't you understand why others might just be tired of it?

Being critical of this or any other aspect doesn't mean we hate everything. There's no need to get this defensive.

She wasn't following in his footsteps, there is zero comparison to her wanting to know the truth behind a friends murder to her trying to be like her dad for the past 21 years.

Exactly, are people seriously trying to compare Von Croy to her father?
