Default Why people consider AOD as the most broken TR game ?

I've played the non-modded steam version of AOD recently and it wasn't really a buggy game.
It had some minor bugs(Few graphic glitches, crashed 1 time when I was loading the save,Lara's scream bug that barely happens)
And barely any major bugs.(Maybe the only major bug was the side stepping during combat bug.)

It also runs well without any performance issues and crashes.(Unlike games like Saints Row 2)

So why people consider it as the most buggiest TR game ?
Was it the PS2 version that was broken ?

AOD on steam is the patched version. If you buy a physical unpatched copy of the game it has way more bugs, lots and lots of missing textures for exemple.

The PS2 version is the most stable one and the most playable imo.

I just replayed it today on PC and this happened lol :

Yeah its a bit like Daikatana.

Original unpatched version is awful but from what I hear and what I've played so far of Daikatana's steam version, the patched version is actually a decent game, no 10/10 but not completely awful either.

PS2 Version has a few extra quirks.(like the Dart gun/Stun gun getting extra ammo every level for some reason.)
The Patched PC version actually fixes a few issues the PS2 version had so its a bit "Pick your poison".

PC version can get duals without a cheat disc/GameShark however.

Really? Because I've bought a gameshark disc to use the dual vector R35's 12 years ago.

Yeah with the SCU you can either enable a debug cheat for every weapon or go into a debug level to pick up the duals.

Yeah use the level skip cheat and you end up in Apartments, and with some trickery you can replay the entire game with the duals in your inventory but not infinite ammo.

Doesn't PS2 version control worse in non combat areas ?

Its...weird.

Imagine LAU but Lara has a classic-style turn arc, thats basically how PS2 Lara Controls, even has a free camera with the right analog stick.

Its not awful, its admittingly a little awkward but its not like Lara randomly detaches from Ledges or anything.

The error in controls where you have to walk fowards/backwards before doing the short-hop or she goes off to the sides is not in AOD PS2.

Lara actually controls better in combat as the PC badly emulates an anlog stick with the keyboard, so Lara moves left/right but also slightly fowards as if you were holding the analog stick slightly fowards and to the left and right, while you can strafe directly left/right on PS2.

From what I know on the PC version the hop jump doesn't require holding forward/backward since you just have to press walk+jump.(And sometimes with the addition of left/right after jumping to make Lara turn mid air.)

So I can't quite get the issue you are referring.
