MGM loses Tomb Raider film rights - Page 14

I do wonder at this point if Crystal are waiting to introduce the next iteration of Lara before selling off the film rights again it seems they want to be unified so it could be that they want a studio which will allow then to have a bit more creative control.

I also think the sale from Square to Embracer has probably slowed things a bit too.

Okay. I am 100% convinced that Amazon has the rights to TR for the cinema.

I think, in the Amazon Game note, it is clear that Amazon sees interest in TR and Embrace wanted transmedia projects.

I kinda hope that if Amazon have those film rights that they'll just pick up where they left off and develop a film with Alicia as a unified Lara.

If not and Crystal truly are keeping everything unified across the media then Amazon also own the company which makes the anime series so once their deal with Netflix is up they could possibly produce more series and a movie with Hayley Atwell in the role and maybe even get her to voice the game.

Speaking of Alicia she just have lost her Mother, she was 71 years old. She announced the sad news on her Mother Facebook page.

Aww that's sad! Her mother looked like a very frail woman even for her age, never nice to lose a parent especially so close to the holidays. Hope Alicia and her family will get through it.

On the topic of Amazon I do wonder which way they would chose to distribute the film if indeed they had those rights.
