The very first promo screenshots of TRAOD?

I was wondering if anyone knows what were the very first official screenshots released by Eidos/Core for TRAOD? I know Chronicles had some promo material, but they were either artworks or tech environments not really related to the game we eventually got. Does anyone know what were the first screenshots, but from the game itself?

The Core Design fan-site did a wonderful job into collecting rare screenshots and renders from the first 6 games. Maybe you can find something there? If you want to know the specific order they were released i'm afraid you may have to wait for the input from someone who was around when the game was being promoted.

I've tried to make out which ones were the first ones, but all the old threads either reference the generic AOD page on tombraiderchronicles or link into the void.

Unfortunately I can't remember anymore, which were the first screenshots.

According to what I heard, they started sharing the actual in-game screenshots quite late into the project. The Lara Croft in the earliest trailer looks nothing like what we got in the game. They mostly shared screenshots from the engine. Some of the lower quality early videos, show the lower polygon "city guide", and Lara communicating with him. But I have never seen the screenshots of that version of the game.

The ones that I've seen are from the first version (the ones from before Chronicles was complete) showing the blue tank and green trousers Lara.

I also saw this one showing a earlier Lara too in the Sanatarium or the Lab:

Lara's character model appears to be rather early too, certainly different from later trailers and gameplay. She seems to be a blend of the original alpha model and the one we got.

If anyone's wondering, the Japanese in the middle screenshot reads "Do you have/Did you bring the security pass(es)?"

I wonder why there's a pre-release screenshot of the Japanese version, of all things.

I always wondered is it was actually like this in game or if they photoshopped it after to showcase the idea !
