Bring back the Lara model tradition?
Assuming the next TR game is out of the reboot’s cannon, would you all be interested in seeing the return of the Lara Croft model?
We haven’t had one since Allison Carrol for TRUnderworld and I kinda miss it to be honest. Would anyone be interested in the return of this tradition? |

I'd love that! The models were so fun, especially if they're allowed to loosen up and smile for pics and stuff. If memory serves me, the classic models had to be super serious, but Karima was allowed to be smiley and such, which I loved.

No. That’s one of the things I’m glad are sticking in the past, it gives cosplayers the ability to “be Lara”. Besides that, the whole model thing is kinda meh.

I never liked any of the models to be honest. I could never see Lara in real life until I saw Angie's Tomb Raider movies.

I would want to meet any of the Lara models and my copy of Meagan's book plus other merchandise signed by them. I do see them as celebrities in our series. I believe that now though it has gone beyond the era where you could get a pretty girl and say she is Lara. It needs to be an actress who can bring out Lara's personality
Having met Alison Carroll and seen her playing the role as Lara it was just so amazing. She looks like Lara, has an elegant British accent, can do lots of the gymnastic moves and has that playful side of Lara's attitude down perfectly. I would love to see her reinstated and think she totally deserves it. Going beyond this if they can find an actress to really capture the character then I really would love to see the tradition return as it can really make any promo event or fan social special to have a Lara model attend. |

I'm glad they got rid of it, tbh. It was a bit silly and embarrassing for the series. I'd rather they promote, invest in, and or have cosplay events for the fans who usually dressed as Lara more accurately (see: XtremeJen). Also I didn't like how they randomly changed who the model was for each game for no reason. Find the perfect girl and stick with them, maybe?
