One of these days I'm gonna have to get my hands on Homecoming and Downpour.
Are they worth the ~$20 used? |

Homecoming is more action than horror from everything I've seen.
I have not played it personally but I know it's either you like it or you don't. Downpour on the other hand actually has some playability and scares to it. The combat takes a bit to get used to… or for the most part you can run away from the monsters if you're out in the open. Frame rate issues can cause some minor hiccups but that's usually only in the beginning of the game. The story is actually pretty good I think! There's lots of really good and really strange places to go, puzzles to solve, and things to find! I recommend Downpour! It's definitely not as Silent Hill as it could be but it's pretty good in terms of a horror game. |

And this is coming from someone who's unfortunate first entry into the series WAS Homecoming. So I think it ultimately depends on what you want from a specific form of entertainment. Some like it intellectual, some like it braindead(of sorts). It all varies at the end of the day Last edited by Ceamonks890; 04-05-15 at 20:49. |

My first Silent Hill was SH3 and I can say I really enjoyed Homecoming, it's not better then SH2 but it does have a lot of memorable scenes like SH2 does
