Reality is starting to sink in. He was so young.
R.I.P. mate, won't forget all the randomness on Eidos forums, the 'migration' to TRF and all the good times here, especially in the future TR section. I am sure I'm not the only one who got a good laugh many a time by reading your posts. You may have never given a damn, we sure as hell did.

I think he's at the floating islands now, shooting those weird warrior dudes. With classic Lara.

Oh no! I was one of those who was aware for quite some time that he was seriously ill, but I'd hoped that it wouldn't end up taking his life

I'll never forget some of his witty posts in threads like the Assassin's Creed and Silent Hill ones. And it almost feels like yesterday when he was among one of the folks on here who congratulated me for getting PS2 copies of Silent Hill 2: Director's Cut and Silent Hill 3 back in January this year, pleased to hear that I was playing these games in the way they were originally intended over the SH HD collection.

R.I.P Spong. May your witty sarcasm continue to flourish in the great beyond

I haven't bothered posting lately, but this news really gets to me. Hopefully he's at peace now.

Someone should do the honor of giving him a customary title.

This is terrible news. My condolences to his friends and family and despite not knowing what was going on with him, hopefully he is in a much better place now, as cliché as that is.

Rest in Peace.

It would be an honour to give Spong a custom title. Mark suggested it would be fitting if the community came up with one for him. I'm very supportive of this idea. 'Beyond the floating islands' sounds quite poignant.

That's such a shame . I'll miss his great sense of humour and his witty and clever posts.
