You've more or less hit the nail on the head; there are mostly flickering issues in TR:TLR--bad ones. I didn't want to really bother with supporting it.

Although I haven't tried it with the game yet, I've done some reading in TREP2's user guide. Some function seem to overlap with your mod's functions; in-fact I wonder if maybe this is how mizuno_suisei modified the exe in the first place. It even has a expand exe size function. The moment of truth (actually trying it) will come momentarily.

EDIT: just tested it, doesn't recognize your executable; says it requires the European or level editor version of the exe. Perhaps mizuno_suisei created his patch for this very reason, to grant these fixes the the vanilla game.

v1.1 is out. Suikaze Raider kindly told me how to fix the "shoot a mummy/jackal that's lying down with explosives and the game crashes" bug. Tested and working in-game with all other fixes and upgrades.

How can I fix manually with a hex editor the bug when the game crashes at shooting explosive ammo to jackals and mummies lying down?

I'll make a patch with the holsters fix+grenade fix+crash fix+widescreen fix to preserve the game without bugs but same as the original game.

Once finished, I'll upload the patch here.

I want to share this patch. I made it adding only the essential improvements and retaining the original experience as much as possible:

Improvements:

- The Uzis and revolver won't disappear anymore.
- The grenades hurts Lara.
- The game won't longer crash when shooting a mummy or jackal.
- Widescreen fix.

Did you fix the Tomb Of Semerkhet invisible wall bug? It happens at the timed puzzle room where you have to climb your way up through the rope and push the object thas has the second piece. While pushing or pulling it the game doesn't allow you to push further for some reason it acts like there's wall. It's very annoying and it happens with some of these fixed exes. That's why i asked.
