Phoebe being attached gives me hope for this, she always writes amazing antiheroes and flawed characters who don't really care about the repercussions of their actions, I always see Lara as pretty unapologetic and ready to cut down anyone who gets in her way.

Lara is an anti-hero and not a saviour character in my eyes, it's the thrill of the hunt for her so I hope they translate that to the screen.

It's great to hear she grew up with Classic Lara and she felt empowered by her!
Also, although we haven't heard anything from official sources, this definitely confirms Deadline's info about the series

Honestly, words cannot describe how happy to see Phoebe Waller-Bridge confirm the reports from Deadline (or at least the report relating to her specifically). She is goddamn excellent and currently on of the best people you could have writing any TV show. The fact that she is working specifically with Tomb Raider? Mind-blowing IMO.

I'm glad that the series is in good hands too production wise Dj2 has a lot of experience in game to film adaptions and seem to know what sells well.

It seems from reading past articles that Dj2, Crystal and Amazon are all on the same page with what they want out of he franchise.

I hope things progress pretty quickly I can't wait to get to the point where they hire a director and we start looking at their past works and then hiring the actress too, finding our locations etc.

I can't wait, I just hope both the TV series and film are high quality so as not to dilute the brand too much.

It actually makes more sense to post on that other thread since she's writing the series and not the movie (as far as we know...), but since the news of the interview was shared here previously, I didn't even remember the other thread

But yeah, it's great to see (well, read) how excited she is about the project and how she has a very positive experience with Lara and Tomb Raider, particularly the Classics as she mentions playing as a teenager.

I do wonder what she means by there being a revolution inside the show
