Kinda cool that the games receiving a lot more attention because of this.

Really wish they would've just updated all 3 games and dropped it as a package.

That definitive edition package released not long ago would have been the perfect opportunity. But SE was never a fan of doing the obvious.

At least Shadow is even prettier now.

It looks and plays better
But has anyone noticed random animations being way to fast? Like leaves or materials are running too fast and look oddly fast around other items that are animating normally? The red sheet that's at the top of the Manor is one I can point out that shows this off.

The game looks basically the same as it did in the original 30fps high resolution mode, with the same sharp textures & better image quality. This new enhanced high-res mode just gives the game the 60fps boost on top of the better image quality. So far the games seems to be performing at locked 60, I haven't run into any performance dips yet.

It's only a matter of time until a Digital Foundry analysis video comes out.

Sounds like a typical problem of the TR engine (most probably due to a bug in the game code). Some animations and effects are tied to the actual refresh rate of the game (the ragdoll effect of GoL or the physics calculations in Underworld are the worst offenders) instead of a steady time scale. That means, the higher the framerate is, the faster the effect works.
I assume that up until now the max framerate had been 30 fps on the PS (was there a high framerate option for the PS4 pro?) nobody was able to notice, and with the FPS boost they probably weren't noticed during testing.
