Default Which Lara do you prefer? And why?

To the left - original Lara. To the right - Definitive Edition Lara.

For me, I can't decide. Definitive Edition Lara looks prettier and more colorful, but I also like the tired and worn out look on the original face - that's the face of a survivor.

original lara tbh.
definitive edition lara has her moments but the facial animations translate so poorly to her model that it gets immersion breaking really fast.

also original lara to rise lara feels like a more natural evolution than de lara to rise lara.

Original, Definitive Edition looks uglier to me, While the original still looks like Lara

Interesting. I asked all my friends, and all of them said the original looks better. Which sparkled my interest to start this topic.

Left. Less super-model looking.

Original. I love the Defintive Edition model, but the facial animations did not fit at all.

I still really don't understand the hate the DE model gets haha

I never thought her expressions were that bad. It's the only time her eyebrows looked normal to me instead of being stuck up in that "scared" expression 24/7. She has more colour in her skin like older versions of Lara had, the correct eye colour, I find her more attractive personally.

The original looks like Taylor Swift's ghost in a medium brown wig thrown into a horror movie.

I honestly think the Rise model is worse than both though, even if it's higher resolution. I just can't stand her facial expressions and the "puffy" hair seemed to get even worse.

I share this opinion. DE Lara looks like she had botox injected into her.

The more I play the DE, the more I like that Lara. If the animations didn’t make her look uncanny, people would probably appreciate her more.

I have to agree. She’s beautifully done, but her features are too plain.
