In the original it's not as apparent as the definitive edition. In the definitive edition it's like she is wet, but the wet effect is changed for the blood and it's really caked on. The original version was mostly texture work.

I love the over-saturated colors and some of more jungle type spaces in the LAU trilogy are excellent. Sure the reboot environments have better fidelity but aren't as inviting as the earlier more colourful/vibrant levels.
