Nah, you can see they had changed the shimmy and head-high vault-up animations.

AOD Lara had the most graceful animations, hands down! What that game lacked was the responsiveness. When you compare Lara's moves in the reboot to AOD (or hell, even the classics) it's a bit painful. She's so wonky and spastic. Thematically that made sense for TR2013, but it's about time she tightened her **** up.

AOD Animations had so many issues it's a miracle they worked at all. Replaying AoD right now and even my rose-colored glasses can't hide all the issues. Oh boy the amount of curses I shouted at the monitor when playing Hall of Seasons.

I don't know, Lara felt like she weighed a ton in AOD, in every other game both Core and Crystal it feels like she's made out of thin air.

Back on topic, i'm pretty sure they wanted to keep the non-climbing related animations as close as possible to TR1, the original animations wouldn't be compatible with a rigged model anyway, they must have been remade somehow. If they were going for place-holder stuff, would've been easier to use the original Free Running ones, or even from AOD. I really think having TR1-5 og animations was part of a specific vibe/direction they were going for.

How known is this TR game among the fans? Sometimes I believe that only trforums users know about this.

Not sure, but it does have it's own page in unseen64.net
https://www.unseen64.net/2011/11/25/...ore-cancelled/

Cancelled games are not usually very know among the general public, that's not a TR only thing.

Based on comments recently made by Ash, I think that will happen in the not-too-distant future. Maybe in a year or so. We'll see. (His comments were rather vague, though, so it's possible that I'm misinterpreting them.)

Thanks. I don't like doing nothing but atm I am swamped with The Dark Angel. Once that's out of the way there will be some news. Meanwhile, anyone with C / C++ skills willing to help with TRAE do get in touch with me (not via PM but via other means pls)
That's all I can say at this stage.

I've got ghostblade's email addy. But as zebra said do email me and I'll get back to you all in August or so once trdas production calms down.

Might be a few months. I just physically can't coordinate this at the moment.

I had initial talks with Nakamichi and we'll be looking into it eventually.

Also pending more stuff re:TRAE from the great anon but they always take FOREVER to contact so we just have to wait. They (like everyone) have a job / family / kids and don't really care about tomb raider anymore.
It took them like 8 months to send stuff last time. Just need to be patient is all. We waited 14 years with no hope

that attitude won't get you far around here sweet thing
It was actually a lot less vague than I thought .
