so far no such luck.
EDIT
btw JasonDavies15 thx for those new TR1 icons (I like that mystical cat)
no need to include them in an installer tool I guess since everyone can easily change desktop icons.

Thats true, anyway I'm glad you liked them. Im guessing since TR2/TR4 AND 5 now have widescreen aspects it's probably going to happen one day in the near future. Anything is possible hay?

So does recording software work well with this version of TR1?

I've tested pretty much every recording app out there, and so far Fraps is the only one that does it right in terms of gamma. Recorded picture is too dark in the others -no exceptions here. I asked nGlide creator about this issue. He said, as always, that there's nothing wrong with nGlide, but with ALL of the recording programs (except for fraps, that is).

f you want to see what it looks like using fraps, take a look at these

I tried with FRAPS, and couldn't get it working. See I looked it up FRAPS and apparently it was fully free up to a certain version, which I got hold of. I also tried something called Loilo, but it seemed to be having issues with that also.

When it comes to the Steam version, is there a way to turn down the gamma and play in 4:3?

playing within Steam, I don't think so, at least afaict
but using the installer over Steam so to speak you sure can using nGlide control panel.

I am still here and I am also aware of all the discussion on this forum.
I stopped searching for the fov sectors back then, I had a lot of work
in my real life job. Now I am back and I will try this weekend to reveal the fov
mystery, yet this time I will look deeper within dos debugger.
In the meanwhile zoom factor is already hacked and working like a charm.
Some tests to modify close values to zoom sectors in case I will see some
fov reaction....

That is something that will be found sooner or later anyway, then I will personally post a widescreen patch on this forum, trust me...

Nick
