So I'm replaying 2013 and I think I honestly somewhat prefer it to Rise?

I think TR2013 had it's own unique personality and thus stands out a bit more than Rise. Plus it's premise and action moments are more impressive I think. I still think I prefer Rise's more laid back approach. Plus it's tombs are much better. But TR2013 is a bit more polished.

You're not the only one. Rise is a huge disappointment compared to TR2013 IMO.

Tombs, graphics, gameplay as well as Blood-Ties, are what distinguishes Rise from 2013 in terms of quality for me. For the rest... I do not really have the strength to talk about it.

I have noticed previously that a lot of people prefer the reboot over Rise, which I have always found strange as the reboot was quite lacking in the elements that make up a Tomb Raider game whereas Rise clearly tried to address these areas.

I think itís often the result of just how safe Rise was. It took hardly any risks.

I prefer the Reboot too. Thatís true. Rise felt more like a TR game than reboot. I think itís the setting of Rise that makes it feel lacking however. Thus having most prefer the Reboot.
