No. The bow should definitely stay as it provided a lot of fun and still can. Not only from a gameplay perspective but it's also Reboot Lara's signature weapon. That doesn't mean she can't have other weapons as well. I would love for her to have the bow and the duals. That would be the ultimate Lara to me.

That's the main problem with the series: people always asking to get rid of something, specially things than can be tweaked and evolved. So, if anything Lara should have way more weapons in the next game and let the players choose which ones they prefer to use. It would also be nice for them to make them all useful in different areas and to solve puzzles depending on the contraptions, etc.

I like the bow and would vote to keep it. IMO a crossbow is just another shoulder fired weapon and one that is a pain and annoyingly slow to reload, thus it is IMO a bad choice as a replacement

Rope arrows in puzzles need to go. I don't mind ropes used for traversal.

I don't agree.
Yes, it should be toned down, in favor of more variety, but not completely removed

I was actually going to say this now. I don't mind them for traversal either

This. I don't mind it from time to time but that's about it. I really like how it's used for traversal. That should stay and evolve. They could provide weaker and stronger ropes that you need to use depending on the distances. It could be like a puzzle in way.

One thing regarding the ropes I want removed completely, though, is those barriers you have to break by shooting-pushing the rope in it. I mean, it's one of the things that break immersion the most for me. It felt so underwhelming, in Cozumel, entering a hidden cave, that's supposedly underwater, and as soon as I entered it, there was a barrier with a modern, and in perfect condition, clean white rope waiting for me to push

I know right, they're pointless.

The bow is great for stealth, so I wouldn't like to see it completely removed. But please no more contrived scenarios to force it into the gameplay as Lara's main weapon. It also feels really dumb when she pulls a bow on people while having a gun.

I disagree To me, it looks badass, and self assured! "Bitch, don't try me. I'll take you down with a piece of wood and rope before you can even blink!"

I can't stress enough how much I ADORE playing with the bow. Even when the game tries to force me to use another weapon, I change it back to bow. I love it to death, and don't want it removed.

Sure, they can add Duals, etc., but let the Bow and Arrow in, please, for those of us who enjoy it. They can make it less "mandatory" to use, but not by removing it completely
