Hmmmmmmmm.
This lowkey confirms there may be no plans for LAU remasters then, because if those were to come out in the foreseeable future, they wouldn't have greenlit this (me thinks) ![]() Also curious to see if this will be the actual PS2 version with old-gen graphics rather than the Tomb Raider Trilogy PS3 version which was a port of X360 Legend. And while PS3 Legend has its flaws, I still think it's the definitive version of Legend on PlayStation so I'm not really that keen on playing an emulated/streamed PS2 version. |

The same thing happened with Resident Evil Code Veronica. Capcom released a fully remastered version with dynamic shadows, improved textures, and more language support on the PS3, but from the PS4 onwards, you can only play the emulated PS2 version. |

Maybe this port is a way for them to see how much interest there is? In any case, I don't think it confirms one way or the other if they have plans for LAU or not. |

The fact they thought of TR Legend first (with two other games) between 2 billions of other PS2 games and classics, show great confidence about the game from both sides (Crystal & Sony) !

How much of this is Crystal getting a squeaky bum that games made before their tenure are at the forefront of TR mania? Legend coming forward for a quick port seems like someone is trying to balance things out. Why not AoD, since the PS2 version was actually better than unpatched (and unmodded) PC?
Either way, not overly fussed. Got Legend on PS2, PS3 and X360 - X360 being the only version really worth playing modern day, it’s a brilliant way to experience the game. Not paying a subscription to get access to it temporarily on my PS4. |

There's a chance of the game being available to purchase separately at the PS Store. Like all - or most - of the PS2 games in the classic catalog announced at the premium along these months.

I must say that I'm also not quite keen on throwing my money at the TV screen JUST YET. My PS3 is still working and as I said -- why bother playing an emulated PS2 version when you can just play the PS3 Trilogy version of Legend

I'm going to see if I can purchase it outright, if not, I'll upgrade to Premium for the month as it's on sale anyway. I'm interested to see how this plays with it being emulated. I'm sure it'll be just like PS2, but I'm gonna do it anyway.
