Oddly enough, the Mountain Dew drink or that other drink featuring Lara did not bother me. What bothers me is: "THIS IS THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE OG GAME, THERE YOU GO A COOKBOOK!"

I just think it's a weird choice. Perhaps they had to readjust their expectactions due to COVID, and knew they could not delivery anything playable by October 2021.

Either way, it's all a bit wonky to me. I do appreciate the concept arts though and the collector editions, or the books attached to the history of Tomb Raider and its development.

Millennial female content creators who will promote their "I Tried A Recipe From The Tomb Raider Cookbook!" videos thereby providing free promotion for the product lol.

Maybe they have something bigger planned for later the year. I still think the anime was one of those big announcements and we won't have another type of announcement like that until the late Summer.

Bumping this thread because know what? I'm still happy it's coming out

It's now called "Licensed Video Game Cookbook" and it's not available on the U.S. site anymore. I bet it's going to appreciate in value, as 25 Years and Archives have

Tomb Raider books are always fun, pretty, informative and this is something that's never been tried before Maybe my lazy ass will explore the kitchen this October

I could name quite a few things I would be more happy to see in regards to the 25th anniversary, but somehow I find the idea of the cookbook nice. I might even check it out.

I seriously love this, it's so original and really fitting for Tomb Raider imo. Love cooking in general so this is very interesting to me

So did this even get announced? Or did someone just find this online or something?

This is awesome and not something I would have expected! I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

I like the idea too. And I'm gonna check it out for sure.

_______

Some people seem to be way too offended by this. Sure, it's nothing major and surely not something for everyone but you seem to forget that this is just a part of the 25th anniversary celebrations. There's more to come for sure.

I know this is unrelated to this specific topic but I feel the same way about the Reboot collection that leaked. It's clearly directed to people who didn't play the three games yet. It's a way for them to experience the trilogy as a whole and save some money aswell. No need to feel upset about it.

If those two things really end up being the biggest things during the celebrations, we all have a reason to be mad or disappointed about it but at this point we simply don't know and therefore shouldn't jump to conclusions.

Believe me honey, they've got thousands of years worth of subject matter to complain about.
Yes including you justifying why TR3's representation of Lara gunning down a black tribe with little context is fine, before your personality transplant happened...

Anyway I've joked about this cookbook but really, it's not a horrible idea. I probably won't look twice at it but, if there's anyone who loves both TR and cooking, it works for that niche.
