I'll agree to that at least. If fans can patch up even story issues in 18 years, then Core surely could've at release much faster if it'd just been about 8 years later when patching became more mainstream lol.

Those videos of fat CJ's funny face while he is riding the bike and piloting the plane has been the highlight of this remaster so far.

Oh nooo I forgot to cancel my pre-order and my copy arrived today
I'm worried it'll make my PS4 explode or something

I’m sure it’ll be fine. They have been working on patches, but it seems to have stopped for the moment. I’m sure there will be more patches because the game is still in a messy state, but you will be able to enjoy it and laugh at the character models and glitches lol.

The update file for GTA3 is 8 hours long and still climbing
Maybe I should have just started to mess around with the bugs.
Or maybe I should have just gone with the PS2 version

Geeesh!!! Well at least when it is done you can play it. Those who had it on day one had to deal with the horrible so at least you can have an somewhat good experience. Maybe you should test it out without updating to see how bad it is lol.

PS2 version is too outdated imo.

1.Runs at 25 FPS and has lots of slowdowns.

2.Has long loading times when you are starting the missions. your garage doors also takes a while to open.(Since it loads your cars)

3.Shooting controls are kinda bad compared to the superior pc version

4.Graphics are old and draw distance is short. The game can also hurt your eyes when you use the behind view while your car's lights are on.

As for Trilogy, some claim that GTA 3 is the most stable one so far while some claim that vice city is the most stable one. You can play either of them or wait and see if they fix them more.

About the only thing the PS2 had over the other versions for a long time was that it was less buggy out of the box, being the originally developed version. And it was slightly more atmospheric with the orange haze (Subjective, especially since it was mainly to hide the piss poor draw distance. But if YT comments are anything to go by, a lot of people feel that way about it.)

Other than that, it's basically the experience every other multi-plat from that era suffered from when released on hardware that could barely handle it. Which is to say, not exactly great. The PS2 was and is a great console, but it really shined better with smaller, focused games than ones like GTA with huge, expansive open worlds.
