I not a big fan of the TR4 Levels either, but saying that, the atmosphere looks great!

I'm yet to play your debut level

Well I'm having 116 rooms now

But like 50 of the rooms are part of a gas room labyrinth

116? I've done like 93 rooms but that has been taking me since MARCH to do.

Wrebbit, it looks very nice. I particularly like the mosque, both the inside and the courtyard outside.

If you don't mind some constructive criticism, however, I strongly suggest you brighten up the lighting a bit. Yes, the wad and textures are meant for a dark level, but that doesn't mean it has to be as dark as TR4's Cairo levels. I'm currently playing those levels, and at every turn I just feel sad that the levels are so dark that it's almost impossible to appreciate the textures and architecture. Don't make the same mistake!

My GAWD, that looks awesome! Far better than CORE's Cairo levels!
I'm impressed! The original levels of TR4 looked so dull to me that I never ventured using their wad & textures, fearing I'd never come up with something good with that.
But your work so far is impressing! It makes me want to explore everything in there! And take it as a compliment, because I'm very picky!

I have thought about this too and this level is actually brighter than the original TR4 city levels.

I made a comparison. The first one is how I have it now, and the second one is with the lightning on 32 instead of 16 (and with a brighter sky).

I kinda like the dark one more. What's everyone's opinion on this?

IMHO the sky is way too bright in the second screen. But, yeah, the ambience lightning on 32 make the whole place better. It's up to you to choose, but I'd suggest you to brighten up a bit the ambience lightning and keep the sky dark.
