You can't open umodel.exe since it's a command line based app, you have to do it exactly how Crofty said, if you wanna just to see what's inside the .upk/.xxx just drop the file over the umodel.exe, if doesn't work and you see only some logs and the window close than the umodel doesn't fully support that game (like no animation support, etc).
Then you have to do it by using the CMD, in the same way umodel.exe -noanim celeste.upk Should work fine since I tried ME ages ago Edit: Also congrats Crofty for the tutorial, wanted to do one a while ago but, well you know lazyness... Glad to see you really enjoy it Last edited by sn00p; 23-11-10 at 20:06. |

Won't do magical things soon either, just navigate to your uModel folder from CMD using "cd" command, here's a example /YourCurrentDir/ and next one would be Desktop, then you write like this "cd desktop" (ofc without quotes)
Also if the umodel is in another driver, same thing but without "cd" just like this "E:" or "D:" . To navigate away from a directory use this "cd.." yes with ".." |

Great tutorial, but...
I followed it step by step but with a model from RE5. When I try to convert it, the converter simply crashes. And when I try to import it back to blender, I got this: Any ideas? Edit: I've figured out what was the problem, now everything's fine! Thanks for the tut. Last edited by Ventrue; 25-11-10 at 17:17. |
