Yes, you can also find the loading screens on google but not in maximum quality like if they were extracted directly from PSX files.

I found a way to extract the loading screens from TR2 similiar to the method used with TR1. But this will take some time because I have to reconstruct the missing header of the RNC packed files of TR2.

The biggest problem is the CRC-16 value of the unpacked file, since you don't know the CRC value of the unpacked file until you actually unpacked the file so I have to use brute force. -.-

I already managed to extract one loading screen from the German and UK version of TR2:



I also have got the US and Japanese version of TR2. I will extract the remaining files of the UK version first.

He didn't say he didn't know the format, he only said the files couldn't be opened using official RNC tools. And GhostBlade probably made his own tool for this exact purpose.

Where you found the header specification? I was watching the source code, but it's in ASM and I can't understand it Maybe, did you get the information from these files?

I updated the TR1 images with the Warning and CackLogo images; their size is 640x256

First I compared the WARNING.RAW from TR1 and TR2 and found out that they just differed by an 18 Bytes header.

So I had to recronstruct the header for the other pictures. I found some information about the header format on this web page.
