This.
In Rise it was fine but in Shadow they were completely useless unless they were used in the axe finishers.

Odd. I experienced the same thing in Shadow but not as frequent in Rise. Finished both games yesterday. I can replay Shadow but Rise, never again. Lol.

Just a quick heads up for those, who use Ansel (can be downloaded, if you have a compatible videocard)

This game became supported via ansel, that means RoTR has a 'photomode' too; Currently it's buggy, it might be fixed in the next update.
(Depth of field and screen filters are working, but the game itself won't get freezed, which makes it super laggy, also the camera can't be moved around like in SoTR)

Question, what is the order of the DLCs? Would it Cold Darkness and then Bloodties storywise?

Not necessarily:

See, Lara went to Syria first. At that time she still lived at an apartment in London (I assume the one, what she originally shared with Sam). Then after Syria (Blood Ties) she moved to the manor. In Siberia at the sawmill she met Naida (Baba Yaga) and after that, Cold Darkness awakens can take place pretty much anytime, after discovering the valley. After completing the story, Endurance mode can take place...

Lara has the Atlas at the manor, no? Which would suggest Blood Ties takes place after everything else.

Blood ties is separated in two.

The first half of Blood Ties, which is it's main story is set after Syria.

After Lara solves the mystery of her mother and changes up to the blue henley now that is set POST GAME. I always play it like this, I just return to menu once I am done with the main story of Blood Ties and then come back to the Manor once I am done with the story of the main game and all of it's DLC's.

Ah, I'll be honest I completely forgot about that. I've only played it the once, I'll have to replay it sometime.

There is a major error in Blood Ties. The main story takes place after Syria but when you find the crypt and end it, it says 2 days later, and that's when the Atlas appears in the manor. No way did Lara go to Siberia, go through all that and then make it back home within 2 days
