Omg...
i saw this image and thought she kind of looked like classic Lara. (Minus the nose)
All Lara needs is a good indian makeup artist or something.
And look more ethnically ambiguous

I remember many people claiming they didnt like Legend back in the day and many of the complaints were the same as they are now. And now seems that Legend is regarded as one of the series' high moments. Interesting how time changes things.
A thing that occurs sometimes in long running series is that after a installment that is either a little medicore/different that wasn't liked as much, will see a sort of resurgence if the series later deviates/is signifcantly worse in quality down the road, happened with Resident evil 0 for instance.

I've just bought The Last Revelation, Chronicles and Underworld on Steam for the grand total of £2.14

Since Rise and Shadow have location-specific ethinc/traditional outfits I’ve always wondered how Lara would like like in Samurai armor, Ninja shozoku robes and kimono/yukata in the reboot series...

Whats the problem?, did you try enabling VM9 in the options?

Late to that discussion but yes I appreciate 2013 over Rise too.

While poorly executed with so many missed opportunities, there are a lot of ideas behind the 2013 game that I do like as an origins story. So while it might not have been the most "Tomb Raider-y" game, I can see the direction they were going for and can enjoy it. I could have probably loved it had they not made it quite so far-removed from older versions of Lara and TR, but unfortunately it was too different. I look at it in a similar way to how I view AoD; good ideas, horrible execution.

Rise, on the other hand... bye. It was no more Tomb Raider-y to me honestly (a couple more tombs but still most were optional). The character was no more recogniseable as Lara than the 2013 one was, and it looked like she wasn't growing any more, in fact she bored and irritated me with how she spoke and just her overall persona. The story was even more trite than 2013. I was worn out by that point.

The exclusivity deal did leave a bitter taste in my mouth too, although I don't let that affect my judgment of the game itself.

Make sure you tick VMR9 in Video settings.

Also, I recommend getting AOD SCU (AOD Startup Utility) for other options like running it in windowed mode since Steam overlay doesn't work iirc.

I didn’t, no. I’ll give it a try when I next boot up my laptop. Thanks
