I think I like Opera House for nostalgic reasons, but it's a cool level, even if the garish decor really starts to grate after a while.

I love TRII but I absolutely hate the snowmobile part. In theory it was great but it was just really clunky and I could barely control the damn thing on those small ledges that you'd have to use as a ramp to get from one part to another. I also didn't like the 40 Fathoms all that much although I love the idea of being in a wrecked boat. I think Mesipax is right, they really never got contemporary areas all that well.

Speaking of, I'm installing TR3 now, I haven't played it since I was a kid, I barely remember it honestly even though I've heard a lot of people say lately that they loved it so much.

The Great Wall is a fun level, full of traps. Venice is just awful. The only good thing about these levels are the violins, they are beautiful to listen to. I level skipped the offshore rig levels because, well they're diabolical. I'll continue tomorrow through Doria.
.
the Doria levels , Tibet levels and last 4 levels are TR2's best gems , so here's a big chance for you .
the other parts that you mentioned are awesome too

TRII is nearly perfect. But the game turns beyond incredible during the last two sections imo.

^Definitely, Tibet and China are some of the best sections in the series IMO

So I completed it.

It is no where near perfect at all imo. Apart from the China sections and the barkhang monastery the game is a pile of ****.

I wont be playing it again anytime soon.
