I think it's pretty much what you've already stated, they assume Lara is a walking threat and unlike the standard guards inside the museum, they're trained to deal with armed threats and see Lara as being there to cause trouble. For most of the Louvre levels though, Lara has the taser and dart gun so I think they go out of their way to address the fact that Lara is dealing with them non-lethally even if the player doesn't necessarily. Gameplay vs story and all that. |

I was just wondering: is there any consensus on whether AoD is set in 2002 or 2003? I seem to remember it being set in 2002 but I'm not at all certain and a quick Google search didn't clear things up xD.

It was supposed to come out in 2002 at first I think, so the story was at least supposed to happened in 2002 for some time but maybe they changed that when they had to change the release date to 2003 !
