Regarding the sentence highlighted in red: they have already fixed many things in the remasters, so I do not see why they should not fix the Ingrams' name in 1-3 as well. |

Only in dual spirit. GOL takes place in a wonderland of Lara's subconscious. Totec is a manifestation of an ancient tribal archetype of Lara's consciousness. Therefore, Totec is part Lara in spirit. Her masculine side birthed into form. He represents her Animus. But that makes her his Anima. They're really one. He's just as much she as she is him.

I'd like fewer attempts to make things emotional, because those ended up feeling forced and repetitive to me in S1. Runtime is already limited – use it to expand on the mysteries and myths instead. Imo the show is at its best when the focus is on the adventure.
If the writers really can't stay away from the Hollywood melodrama, limit emotional scenes to one or two in the second half of the season, so that they can actually have impact once the story builds up to them. Lara crying and reliving her various traumas every episode had the opposite effect on me. Oh, and I'd very much like them to ease up on the "power of friendship" angle. Group hugs and the like feel extremely out of character for any of Lara's previous iterations, Reboot included, and simply out of place in TR in general. I kinda hope Sam will die like she was originally meant to in TR2013, prompting a change in Lara. But if we're being realistic, the show will probably do the opposite and lean even heavier into such themes. |
