. Seeing your Mandalorian Patch avatar on a regular basis got me thinking; "Given that any warrior can become a Mandalorian, why not make a modern day tactical twist to it." That and I couldn't stand the Disney-fied version of the Mandalorians.

So, the Rifle is ready

. Basically its a very modified Neft Gun Lol! Why? For a few reasons:

1) Obviously there are laws in place to carry ACTUAL or REPLICA rifles; Meaning in Canada, you just can't do it. They obviously also have no issues being brought into events.

2) Nerf guns are just easy and obviously cheap to modify.

3) This particular gun looked so close to what a medium length DC-15A would look like.

So, the blaster had to be painted

. I plan on covering the Nerf logos off with patches. The paint is basic spray paint that I use on my hunting rifles. The paint pattern is what I use on my hunting rifles as well. I also have the Tactical chest rig all ready to as well. All the items in the chest rig are replicas and obviously not real. Though this is close to what my set up used to be in the armed forces.

I modified the replica holographic sight on the gun to glow red with laser just like the real thing.

As for the lightsaber dangling on the chest rig... Well, no one said that Mandalorians aren't allowed to keep war trophies

. Damn those Jedi and Sith Scum.

Very nice Catapharact! I might of sanded off the Nerf logo if I was doing the cosplay, but that's just me.

At the time during the clone wars alot of Jedi were jerks, with the exception of Anakin Skywalker. Unless you're also counting the Star Wars EU. The jedi Bardan Jusik joined clan Skirata and got along pretty good with the Republic Commandos.

So... First Test Run of the Armor and Gear. Considering that Remembrance Day is around the corner, this seems appropriate.

Worked better than I expected (minus the flipped shoulder Pad on the left arm

.) The fit is perfect, the practicality of the Armor with the movement of the body is spot on. As any Engineer and/or Carpenter will tell you; "Measure Twice; Cut Once." If you do everything right the first time, you will have to make minimal to no adjustments.

Cool, I like it. I might have put vambraces on my arms to complete the look of a Republic Commando or a Mandalorian soldier. All in all though, good job Catapharact.

Way ahead of you. That is actually the next part of the project

. Already working on STL files to create Vambaces. I will just have to work a concept that adds in the watch, GPS, Barometer as well as a little something extra

.

Stay tuned for that.

Aww, you've got to add the flamethrower to one of the vambraces. Boba Fett had the right idea for pest control, LOL.
