I too, couldn't tolerate Mel's voice so I just took a look at the pics she presented to prove her claims, and I have to agree with Portugalraider, she basically didn't prove anything lol. In fact I'd have loved more muscle definition on the statue like Brenoch's art, her arms and legs look kinda soft for the things she does.

It doesnt look like a 14yo AT ALL. She doesnt look like a man eirher. They are waiting like scavenger birds for a Lara that doesnt look like a DoA fighter to force their polítics, express their problematic views, play the victim and get interactions. M&M's video is just a compilation of generic angsty quotes with no real meaning. Im sure they have the note app full of entries containing these bs reasons just in case they need to cry in public

This is about Lost Ark but I don't doubt an article like this would be created for TR is Lara was sexier in the next game.

And that's fine. Classic Lara wasn't designed to be a realistic representation of a real woman. She was a cartoon. Cartoons thrive in exaggeration, and Classic Lara had a great design.

But now they are going for a realistic take on Lara, and delivered that. And it can easily be well argued if Tomb Raider and Lara Croft should be realistic or not. But that doesn't change the fact that if Lara was indeed a real person, she probably would look quite similar to how the statue does.

Kotaku is always bashing female video game characters who dare to show some skin. These articles are always written by male gamers remember when a male feminsit called the police on Mel for responding to him on twitter after he tried to call her something along the lines of a internalized misgynist? the WOKE are 10x worse than their oppositions.

Statue looks fine. Sure, she looks a little dead in the eyes and her head seems a bit small, could be just the perspective though. It’s a tall statue after all. But she looks cool and very recognisable as Lara Croft! Braid, classic outfit, gloves, dual pistols and holsters!

By the way, I think this statue is based on the model that was created for the 25th anniversary celebrations. There is no indication at all that this is the Lara model that will appear in the next videogame. Unless I’m missing something?
