I'd rather Lara didn't have many "partners" in the movie. My favorite part of TR2001 was Lara in Cambodia. I loved seeing Lara alone traveling and exploring.
Hopefully she is not accompanied all the time and does not have strong "partners" to overshadow her. |

I get what you are saying too but I feel like because of the medium of film they need a supporting character there at times for story progression. I do agree though my favourite parts of the films are also when Lara is alone and allowed to do her thing.

To see a female dynamic on the screen could be refreshing as opposed to the woman/man partnership.

I really want Sasha Lane to co-star. She was amazing in American Honey which is a film very close to my heart because I used to be in a life like that. <3

The first film suffered such a backlash from the lack of supporting female characters so I definitely think a big part of this film will make up for it.
I do also wonder if there will be plans to use Lu Ren in this new version of the screenplay because I thought for sure he would have been included when Amy Jump was writing and it appeared otherwise. I expect a diverse female co-lead will be included and I hope they keep Ana as the villain and don't forget about her altogether if they choose to move in a different direction. Some good news
Misha Green have finished her first draft for TR and it was very well received https://mobile.twitter.com/GeekVibes...64944873148416 Also I'm starting to record all the 24 pages of text for my video about the LC TR movie tomorrow. Last edited by Ellioft; 30-03-21 at 19:21. |

I'd prefer if we knew more about what was in it rather than how it was recieved. I mean I guess that's good news I am just really greedy for details.

What? Of course it was well-recieved. They didn’t hire her without having seen a draft. That wouldn’t make any sense.
Oh. This is from “GeekVibesNation”. Right. Ok now this makes a whole lot of sense. |

Well you know in the time of LC TR they weren't confident at all with all the draft they have received and the studio was trying to make it cheaper than possible.
Also it's the first time we have something about the draft for the sequel. We didn't have any report about how Amy Jump draft was received by the studio. Also this show how many time it was needed to her to make one convincing story : 3 month apparently. I guess she was inspired. But don't forget it's only one draft and one isn't enough to become a screenplay you have to make re writes etc Last edited by Ellioft; 30-03-21 at 21:59. |
