Temple ruins look great!

The before/after pictures as well although I would add the dark fog back in around the waterfall and the cave entrance. It adds to the atmosphere and shows you were you're headed. Otherwise I have nothing but kudos to give.

I think the temple looks gorgeous from what I can tell. The floor textures look especially good. I would however suggest toning down the "white" of the waterfall, just a tad bit. Maybe try to go for a 'see through" type of water texture. Looking at the original picture, I think Core was aiming for a less intrusive, not so fast waterfall, if that makes sense obviously to let the player know there was a cave behind the water

By the way, will we have any more of those walkthrough videos in the future?

I agree about the water. Now it looks like there's a lot of water coming, like there's a river just above, and we don't even see the rocks anymore, I think Core's aim was to make it looks like "some" water is coming here and there.

I agree about the waterfall!
I'll do a new texture specially for this area... At the moment the waterfall texture is shared between all the waterfall of the level. But TRJTA can add some more blocks of texture and I believe I can do a very cool animation of just a few water dropping falling with some mossy rocky.

About the walkthrough videos, definitly you'll have more of them... I'm just waiting TRJTA finish his work on India levels. This way the walkthrough will display the final version of the remaster.

What do you guys think about the waterfall like this? I made the waterfall look like a less full thick stream of water. You can now see more of the rocks and can see better through the waterfall itself:

Definitely.
And I also like that the actually transparent water is not making things brighter like with the original blending, that's how it should have been since the beginning.

Thanks! Yes indeed. Because I can now work with alpha channels for semi transparency instead of the in-engine semi-transparancy, this now won't be the case indeed (the brightening).

Looks lovely.. If it were me though, I'd add a little more contrast and shadows to the trees - so they match the originals.
Add shadows to the roots and make the bark more green.. brighter.

While the quality is amazing, the lack of colour makes the HQ version a little more washed out than the originals
Unless you're after that realistic look - in which case, its awesome as it is.
