I'm not saying it isn't that, but I wouldn't go making a thread with this title just yet

And Wall Street has been so accurate in the last 5 years.
They're assuming too.

LOL, so they're not exactly at the cutting edge of knowing stuff? I wasn't aware of that

I wonder what medium will they use this time if it is PS4.

I mean blu ray still has A LOT of capacity that they have yet to utilize fully.
Maybe it is blu ray again but with superior processor?

Hmm..

Most likely it'll be Blu-ray again.

I think that might be too. Blu ray was more expensive when they first established it on ps3 back then. They had a hard time competing whereas 360 and wii were still using DVDs. A lot of costs went to that medium's production alone and it minimizes profit.

To introduce a new format now, with Sony's financial turmoil is just too much.

True.
It seems to make sense to me that they'd probably stick with Blu-ray. Like you said, they've not really utilised the storage to its fullest extent with the PS3. Even if the PS4 & next Xbox are packing loads more power, 50GB on a dual layer disc should still be more than enough for games, surely?
