^ Yeah, I agree. The tracks sounded more upbeat and energetic when they needed to be, but they also nailed that quieter, ambient/melody mix when the occasion called for it.

Junkie XL music was very generic. I don't remember a single track from the movie and I've rewatched it several times. I want a new composer, Junkie you're fired.

Don't watch the movie to get a glimpse of the OST, it is completely wasted in it. The sound designer is the one who needs to be replaced.

I'd like to see what Hildur Guđnadóttir (Joker) could do in a Tomb Raider movie Her Joker soundtrack often reminds me of SOTTR, so I think she could do something special inspired in Tomb Raider for the movie, be the movie inspired in Rise, in Shadow or something entirely new

Is it true that Clint Mansell will compose the music?

Why couldn’t the game composers compose music for the movies? Please enlighten me... Peter Connelly, Troels Follmann, Colin O’Malley, Wilbert Roget II, Brian D’Oliveira. Some or all of them can collab and make some decent music. The only piece of music that held a candle to the games’ OST from the movies was the Cradle of Life Main Theme, which itself was a variation of the Classic-theme...

Junkie XL just seems like a... bit lazy and bland.
I can hum the music from The Village, Peter Pan, Signs, Batman, Star Wars, Game of Thrones... even Hereditary if I feel like being weird. I feel like if it’s a good score, you should be able to hum tunes from it and remember them easily. Honestly I don’t think I could hum a single song from TR2018... it’s just so... meh. |

The last adventure film he did was Sahara and it really captured the perfect vibe in terms of the soundtrack, if he does get chosen for Tomb Raider and delivers something similar I'll be very satisfied. Last edited by Tonyrobinson; 18-11-19 at 23:49. |

Clint is a great composer. I would be happy with him at the helm of the music department. Maybe this way we could get more memorable music.
